Ink and Milk

One more experiment I am working with is milk and ink, I think this first part worked, but I didn’t bring it to final cut yet, don’t know how slow the slow motion is going to be. Will see tomorrow

Ink and Water

Today I spend the day experimenting and hopefully ended up with something good to work with. First I was with food colorant and water, still no work as I would like to and after I started experimenting with some effects in Final Cut, I have to say that I do like it but is not what I had in mind but sure I can make use of it.

I get out of my house at 5am direction bull island, the sunrise was amazing, was a really perfect morning, but… as luck of experience with sunrise time-lapse, I over expose the pictures, I started right but as soon as the sun started to show up, the pictures were over expose, I try to change it, but it happen again. now I know that even is clear I need to under expose a  lot the fist pictures to get at the right exposures when the sun show up.

Here are some of the pictures I took. peaty that it didn’t work out, it really was beautiful.

And here the time-lapse I ended up with

The interview is 22 minutes long, is too much, I need to shorter up, but I don’t know what to delete. it has been a long proses of selection to make things have sense when cutting from one speaker to other, the only solution I think is to delete full questions, but now that is done, it is hard for me to delete parts of it.

I wanted to upload the audio here, but I can’t, and the video is too long to upload any were.

I do miss the meeting right now, I need a honest second opinion!

Vanishing Point, 2D images converted to 3D. Lighting and composition in after effects.

I know I shouldn’t be making more testing right know, but I wasn’t sure if the 2D images and the Vanishing Point to make 3D images in After effects would work or not, This is a test I did today, needs to be improve but it works.

Main problem is Vanishing point doesn’t tolerate transparence, I had to delete, using masking, in the vanishing point file, next in photoshop, crop the window and delete what it is the glass on the picture, save as png and import in after effect placing them where the windows are in the vanishing point file.

I also added a time-laps in the background and light the image in after effects.

Hope I had explained myself, here is the result, only 3 seconds, but you see what I am planing to do.

Organising the Interview

I have been for five days organising the order in the interview, is taking me much longer that what I though It would, I have already 15 minutes and four more questions to add!

The installation is meant to be 15 or 20 minutes long, this means I will have to cut the interview down because for the installation  be in the time I first though, the talking should be not longer than 10 minutes because I have to add the other 2 projections to it.

At this point I am starting doubting if is going to happen or not. Getting anxious and nervous!!
